WOW! What a beautiful yard you have Collin, All your family and friends came this week-end and cleaned it up so when you get home it will be all ready for you! There is just one problem, somebody stole the toaster...I am not sure but I think it might have been your Uncle Tony. Now I'm not positive, but when he was a little boy he spent the night with Jeremy, and the next day the blender was missing.....I think that it is possible that he has an addiction to kitchen ware. I just talked to your great granny d, she wanted to tell you that she went to mow the lawn today but couldn't get the mower started so she used the weed eater and she said that the lawn looks like your haircut. The neighbors love it and want her to do there yards as well. Also the tooth Ferry called and said she would be there shortly to leave you $5.00 under your pillow tonight, she might be a little late because she was coming over with Little Lord Fauntleroy, and as usual he was running late so they will be catching the South Worth and on to Seattle. I think you are right that beneathe the drugs Collin knows what's going on. Micah I think Collin was trying to tell you something but all he could do is what you explained. I think Collin knows when daddy is around too, I think he loves mommy and daddy so much too.

You two make me laugh, the poo stories are quite comical and make me really laugh out loud too! I'm happy that there are funny posts along with the ones that seem awfully scarey to me. Such a tiny little guy to have so much going on so young in life.

I pray daily for God's miracle for Collin, slowly but surely based on your posts I see the light for Collin.

I want to mention something to about his gas problem. If you can get him on his stomach with knees underneathe him if that's even possible, or a pillow...butt up in the air, air rises and the gas will come out. Just an FYI...

While we were there, I helped change more than a few poopy diapers, got peed on, was a x-ray technicians assistant, and a massage therapist. You know we all love you and are praying for you and will continue to do so. I know you are far from your old self but I sense you are not in critical mode at the moment. Chet and Micah, no one will think less of you if you change up your posting schedule to two or three times a week. Of course we want to know right away if there is a major change but we don't need to put any extra burden on you to find something to say every day.

Just a thought and looking forward to the new haircut. Maybe Chet and Micah could get similar "sympathy" haircuts and it could be a family thing.

We had a special treat last night--Robby called us from Fairbanks @11:30 to say the Northern Lights were exceptional from there so we donned our jackets and went out on the deck and looked up and they were all over the sky!!! Hi Collin, we hope you got settled down ok last night . We check your updates frequently during the day so we can pray specifically for you and your Mom and Dad.
You would have loved it here this weekend. There were 62 mushers and sleds with 900 dogs starting the Iditarod Race downtown on Saturday. Lots of excitement!! Lots of barking!!Haley would have loved it! I think some of Nikolai and Chena's cousins were there, too!

Dear Collin,

We came home from being away to see that you also had a very busy week! It looks like you had some nice quiet days after your big surgery, but are now starting to get a little more active. Little steps at a time-keep moving forward! But don't feel that you have to keep the docs on their toes, alright? You've got them jumping enough!

Chet & Micah-continuing to pray! I love that you guys are able to still cope with humor. Have you seen the 1970s "Airport:Concord" movie? Its so bad its hilarious. We have a tradition of a truly awful Saturday night movie date.

We have and will continue to pray for you and Collin. We are excited to hear of the progress as a result of the surgery. We lost a child to crib death, and can feel the pain you have gone through as you have watched Collin suffering. We rejoice with you over the progress you are now seeing. All things are possible with God! All this is hard to understand. If we can just keep in mind that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD and that GOD is not looking at our temporary comfort, but our eternal destiny. We are only passing through this life and it is a walk of faith.It is hard to have faith during all of this, but I believe faith begins when it seems there are no answers we can find. That is when God comes through and He gets the glory. What a beautiful young man Collin is. You have truly been blessed of the Lord that He has intrusted you with this precious child! Unless we become as a child we can not even enter the kingdom of God. We would say to your precious son: "You are such a brave young man Collin." "You are a fighter!" "I am sure you have seen the face of Jesus and His angels!"

Also very happy to read that Collin is calm and his body is resting. I'm sure this whole ordeal has been very tense besides scarey. Hey big guy, I heard you moved again, way to go. I got to go to see a doctor today too just like you. When I got back to your house, Haley was so happy to see me I bet she jumped in the air 43 times and her ears went straight out and she looked just like Dumbo flying in the air!! I was very happy to read this evenings update at 5:30 pm of how little Collin is so much more flexible and saw the video! YEAH!!! I visit daily as I stated I would, praying each time that God will direct the doctors hands and mind to help Collin's condition. I believe in miracles and believe God uses all of us to help Him in doing so. I will sleep good tonite and I hope Micah and Chet will also. Cheat and Micah,

We decided to do Collin M's TC surgery because he had become symptomatic....loss of function in his arm and legs, he was very whiny and acted painful. He also showed increased bladder pressure and his bowels had changes. His MRI has always shown TC but he was not having problems til October this year.

Just wanted to share our experience. The surgery was very rough on Collin and he did not like the pain meds.

We are praying!

Devin watches your videos and looks at your pictures everyday. He checks your updates to make sure you are doing OK. His new favorite video is the one where you are laughing at your dad tearing up the newspaper. Devin use to do that too. Hope you are comfortable in your new room.
