Hi, Handsome!
Good...afternoon? (At least it is there, it's morning over here.) Virginia is headed back to the States tomorrow, and later this week, she's going to bring you cool stuffs! Prepare yourself! Jason will be back in Washington in March, and hopefully by then you'll be back home with with your doggie.

The last few days, we've visited local shrines and temples. Although we're not Buddist, we still said several prayers for you and your family. Here, they have special figures, candles and flags they display to physically show thoughts and prayers offered by the people.

Keep up the great work, Collin. We miss you!

Much-o hugs-o around,
Virginia and Jason

Collin and Family,
We are sure thinking about all of you up there. Perhaps none of us can ever really begin to understand the depth of this.
But our hopes and prayers continue on,regardless. You two are the best parents that Collin could ever have. Your faith and prayers will see you through this. I think God handpicked you two to be his daddy and mommy. And Collin has to have the best grandparents a child could ever have. Full of faith.
Wisdom. Compassion. We love you all.

Everyday I think about our trip up to the mountains, I got to ride on a snow-mobile with your dad that was fun. I got to go down a really big hill on a sled and fell off that was fun, and then somebody put some snow shoes on me and I fell down again and that was fun. The Chocolate Coconut Milkshake was really fun. The lights of Leavenworth took my breath away. And you made it all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Micah...that is a very special story of Collin's blanket. I'd say he's had a guardian angel with him all this time. I, too, had admired his blanket in the photos.
I'm glad the surgery is over...this must be a very time. I've had students with g-tubes, and once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. The good news is easier feeding and no nose tubes!! I won't be surprised if Collin's disposition improves when they're removed.

I just read the update about surgery today and wanted to let you know we are praying for you guys. I know how difficult it is to leave your sweet boy in the hands of the doctors while you wait and pray. Just remember that you might not be allowed in that OR but Jesus certainly is and He is right there with Collin through it all! You two are wonderful parents and I'm sure Collin can feel your love for him.
We are praying that God gives your bodies strength and your hearts peace today.

Moses in the wilderness reminded the Israelites that "the Lord your God is the faithful God who for a 1000 generations keeps His promises." And that their God had promised "I will go before them and protect them and provide and guide them". He promises the same today.

And again Jeremiah in all his trials and crying came to the conclusion "Oh Lord God! Behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thy outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for thee". Jer 32:17
And God answers back to Jeremiah, :Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for Me? Jer 32:27
God can,and we believe is, fixing and repairing His precious creation, Collin. God created that 18 chromosome and every cell and dna and laugh and smile and love in Collin that inspires us, humiliates us, and points us upward to His miracles and compassinate LOVE. We pray and pray some more not stoppping. I Love you.

dear Collin,
You remember when we tried to watch Curious George on your TV and it didn't work? We pushed too many buttons and got the TV and George disc all mixed up. Then daddy Chet came home and fixed it!! Daddy fixed the TV so it could "talk" to the Curious George disc and then the disc could send back to your TV screen the pictures and story about George.. Daddy repaired the communcations.!!
We also have a Father in Heaven that knows all about you and EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING!! He knows more than daddy Chet (sorry Chet) and He is repairing and fixing your arms and legs and fingers and toes and head and eyes and nose and mouth and ears to talk to each other again, just like the TV and George. So soon you will wake up and see mommy and daddy and talk to them. We all love you. You ae very brave and curious and strong!
