Collin, Yeah!! Sit up snuggly cozy time with Mom and Dad and in a wheelchair too! Tell dad that you want a picture posted on your special website of you so cute and handsome sitting in the wheelchair. I hope sitting up again today you can see the sunshine out your window and some clouds floating by up in the sky. I'm sorry they are messing with your tummy again today. It's to help, so no more throw-ups!. Praying for you every day and night. LOve you and see you soon.

I just talked to your great granny d, she wanted to tell you that she went to mow the lawn today but couldn't get the mower started so she used the weed eater and she said that the lawn looks like your haircut. The neighbors love it and want her to do there yards as well. Also the tooth Ferry called and said she would be there shortly to leave you $5.00 under your pillow tonight, she might be a little late because she was coming over with Little Lord Fauntleroy, and as usual he was running late so they will be catching the South Worth and on to Seattle. Hopefully they won't get hung up at the Spaghetti Factory again... Those two--- gotta love em

I think you are right that beneathe the drugs Collin knows what's going on. Micah I think Collin was trying to tell you something but all he could do is what you explained. I think Collin knows when daddy is around too, I think he loves mommy and daddy so much too.

You two make me laugh, the poo stories are quite comical and make me really laugh out loud too! I'm happy that there are funny posts along with the ones that seem awfully scarey to me. Such a tiny little guy to have so much going on so young in life.

I pray daily for God's miracle for Collin, slowly but surely based on your posts I see the light for Collin.

I want to mention something to about his gas problem. If you can get him on his stomach with knees underneathe him if that's even possible, or a pillow...butt up in the air, air rises and the gas will come out. Just an FYI...

Hugs to all of you, does the tooth fairy visit kids in the hospital?

You know we all love you and are praying for you and will continue to do so. I know you are far from your old self but I sense you are not in critical mode at the moment. Chet and Micah, no one will think less of you if you change up your posting schedule to two or three times a week. Of course we want to know right away if there is a major change but we don't need to put any extra burden on you to find something to say every day.

Just a thought and looking forward to the new haircut. Maybe Chet and Micah could get similar "sympathy" haircuts and it could be a family thing.

Collin-great to hear that you're feeling much calmer today! Yay for lower, happier heart rhythms! Sorry that it was a bit messy for Mom and Dad, but its good that everything is "working". I'm sure a good clean bath had everyone much happier!

Micah & Chet-thanks for letting us name the second goal for Collin. We were so pleasantly surprised to be able to sponsor the first hole, and wanted to do something special with the remaining contributions.

If anyone is interested in donating online, there's a link on the C18 homepage under "Support". Make sure to reference "Collin/Tet18p Golf Hole" under the "Honoree" section.

We're so happy to be a part of the C18 family with you, and will continue to keep your family in our thoughts and prayers as he recovers. You're been so amazing at sharing with us & documenting this tough journey, which may one day help another family. You guys rock!

I can't be in Texas that day for the golf tournament, but will make sure they take plenty of photos to share with us!

We have and will continue to pray for you and Collin. We are excited to hear of the progress as a result of the surgery. We lost a child to crib death, and can feel the pain you have gone through as you have watched Collin suffering. We rejoice with you over the progress you are now seeing. All things are possible with God! All this is hard to understand. If we can just keep in mind that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD and that GOD is not looking at our temporary comfort, but our eternal destiny. We are only passing through this life and it is a walk of faith. It is hard to have faith during all of this, but I believe faith begins when it seems there are no answers we can find. That is when God comes through and He gets the glory. What a beautiful young man Collin is. You have truly been blessed of the Lord that He has intrusted you with this precious child! Unless we become as a child we can not even enter the kingdom of God. We would say to your precious son: "You are such a brave young man Collin." "You are a fighter!" "I am sure you have seen the face of Jesus and His angels!"
"We have never had the privledge of getting to know you Collin, but we hope to see you soon." "Hang in there Buddy". "You are not alone!" Mom and Dad, God has heard your prayers!
With Love, Gary and Joann Russell (Your Cousins)

We decided to do Collin M's TC surgery because he had become symptomatic....loss of function in his arm and legs, he was very whiny and acted painful. He also showed increased bladder pressure and his bowels had changes. His MRI has always shown TC but he was not having problems til October this year.

Just wanted to share our experience. The surgery was very rough on Collin and he did not like the pain meds.

We are praying!

The MRI news today seems like a step backward-one good thought tho, is that we have more info about what is happening, and you still have many many many brain cells to direct your muscles and thinking and whole body! We have been ready, and we will, run the long distance with you. It's more than the 800 meter or mile race that your mom ran in high school. It's more like a marathon now, and I won't give up.
Your heart is strong and your breathing is good. That red snow mobile is still waiting for you at home. And have Dad show you the snow from your window tomorrow.
See you again soon. I LOVE YOU SWEETHEART. Chet, I know he is a boy, but he has always been my sweetheart too. Grandma Sheryl

Checked in hoping to find more good news, but oh my, this is not what we wanted to hear. But I too, believe in an awesome God. Today I happened to read about spirit warfare, and about miracles.

Collin-how cool it was to see that new video of you sitting up and looking around! It was the best video yet. It must be good to sit up a bit and get out of that bed for a while. We're going to be away from our computer & will miss your updates, but can't wait to check in again soon. You just keep moving forward, little man.

Chet & Micah: Your description of class had me giggling. There is a ton of experience with g-tubes on our list serve. And a few weeks ago was Feeding Tube Awareness Week (believe it or not). One of my favorite mommy bloggers wrote this blog post about a funny experience with a tube in their family. I hope it makes you giggle too.
Oops-can't post a URL-I'll email it to you directly!

I have been checking daily on Collin and praying. Looks like my prayers are being heard after watch video with the physical therapist! Seeing him have life in his face brought a smile to my face!

I totally can relate with bodily fluids and open wounds. I would pass out and have always tend to move away from such things.

I will be so delighted to see Collin as I see him in the photos flashing to the right of where I'm typing. He's just the cutest little guy. All of you are so brave and patient which I have to commend you on.

I will continue to come visit and read your entries and watch your videos which I must say are very good compared to my few attempts of working with a video camera!

Hugs and Prayers for all of you.

Thank you to my physical therapist who got me sitting up today! It might also be a new drug I tried that is supposed to help relax my muscles. I know dad will share more pictures and maybe a video later. Thanks for all the prayers!
